Job Description

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The Masstron Producing Organization (MTMS) designs, develops, and produces products within the METTLER TOLEDO Vehicle and Heavy Capacity product families and serves in direct support of the Vehicle Scale Strategic Business Unit which develops and implements the strategic direction of the global vehicle scale product line. The Floor Scale team requires a safe working, detail-oriented sheet metal fabricator able to operate various pieces of equipment including a sheet metal shear, brake, saw, and machining center.

Complete daily work from a production schedule utilizing blueprints, standard work, and work instructions
Accurately enter data into the MRP (e.g. SAP) system and ensure that inventory is accurately stated
Maintain quality throughout the process
Conduct daily preventative maintenance on machinery
Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, work in other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders
Actively participate in facility 5S and Lean initiatives
Operate fork trucks and cranes
Perform daily activities safely
Identify and implement safety improvements

What You Need to Succeed

Experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to setup and operate saws, brakes, shears and other machining equipment
Ability to reach and interpret blueprints and other engineered documentation
Ability to read a tape measure
Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane
Ability to learn basic computer skills involving SAP and Microsoft Office tools
Demonstrates good attendance record
Perform quality inspections on work
Ability to work overtime when required
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 75lbs
