Job Description

Job Purpose

The Manufacturing Execution Systems Deployment Internwill assist in deploying MES to a portion of Dana's global Manufacturing footprint to drive continuous improvement in productivity and quality. Applicants must be physically based out of Maumee, OH or Novi, MI.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The student will participate in the following:


training on plant floor safety practices
MES overview training: manufacturing processes, system function and architecture, data flow, data acquisition/integration with plant floor devices and reporting
assisting with current state assessment and schedule development, system configuration and testing, data validation, training, Go-live support, reports and analytics
perform basic project management tasks and schedule updates
communicate (verbal and written) status to plant and IT leadership

Qualifications:


high level of interest in manufacturing and/or manufacturing related areas
ability and comfortin working in a factory or plant floor setting
pursuing a degree in a technical field - engineering, IT computer science, operations research
technical and analytical skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Proven problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within and outside the organization in a professional manner
Uncompromising judgment towards confidentiality and business ethics
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
