Description
Housekeeping Laborers are responsible for general upkeep and cleanliness of the plant. Laborers will perform custodial duties around the plant, restrooms, etc. This position may also assist in other duties around the plant, including outside of the facility.

Responsibilities of Position:


Cleans and maintains areas around the plant to remove dust and other debris.
Operates various hand-held manual, electrical and gas-powered tools, and equipment.
Maintains and ensures the safe operating condition of assigned equipment and tools according to company policy and OSHA.
Performs general housekeeping of plant, restrooms, and outside facility, etc.
Assists with minor repairs and general upkeep of facility.
Professional interaction with internal and external customers.
Assists in other areas of the plant as needed.
Performs duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
May assist in other projects or areas of the facility as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:


Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including lifting, carrying. reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, and climbing). Ability to lift up to 60 pounds at least 10 times daily.
Ability to walk continuously throughout the shift and climb ladders to cover all areas of responsibility.
Self-starter, aggressive work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Safety conscious.
Must have an eye for detail and place a heavy focus on dust remediation.
Ability to use basic cleaning tools including but not limited to brooms, shovels, mops, cleaning solutions, etc.

Physical Requirements in a Regular workday:


Frequently lifting/carrying a max of 60lbs.
Frequently pushing/pulling a max of 60lbs.
Frequently Stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling
Frequently Climbing and/or balancing
Frequently working inside/outside
Frequently working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, other airborne matter.

Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:


Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas.
Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
Ability to work flexible hours; overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Valid driver's license (if applicable).
Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
Must be able to read and speak the English language.
