Job Description

Position Purpose:

Responsible for management and support of assigned product line, leading the strategies, developments, launches, communications, and ongoing improvements.

Essential Functions:

Product Promotions

* Plan and implement advertising and promotion programs to support the division's sales objectives and enhance customer experience.

* Manage the company message, increase brand recognition, and communicate product initiatives.

* Manage editorial calendar, create strategies for print and digital advertising.

* Oversee strategy and creation of all content including sales literature, white papers, videos, presentations, and other promotional resources to support the brand.

* Implement social media strategies and email campaigns to increase product recognition, generate meaningful engagement and create follow-up sales opportunities.

* Ensure website is up to date with current product information. Promote use of social media channels.

* Manage external and internal events including trade shows, trainings, meetings, customer events and other activities.

* Maintain regular contact with the Sales organization (OEM & Fleet), keeping them up to date on new announcements, providing support materials and emphasizing key areas of focus to support key objectives.

* Travel with field sales, OEM sales, and/or marketing personnel.

* Support assigned products at trade shows, provide input to MARCOM on priorities and key messages for each show.

* Create training curriculum for new employees and the sales team.

* Participate in training events as the subject matter expert for assigned products.

* Lead, manage and develop direct reports as assigned.

Product Strategy

* Lead the development and execution of the annual business and marketing plan for assigned segment and associated product lines.

* Develop contacts with customers, trade associations and other sources of market information.

* Guide the Simultaneous Product & Process Development (SPPD) program teams; responsible for completing all marketing and phase exit deliverables.

* Manage the timing and implementation of market and sales plans to support new products.

* Manage sales concession, seed unit and rebate programs for assigned segment/product lines.

* Gather competitive intelligence for designated product line.

* Develop and present business cases for new business opportunities.

* Participate in product planning meetings with OEM customers.

* Lead the analysis of the market to discover concerns, opportunities, and to define improvement needs.

* Create pricing strategy for new products or customers, complete price change requests including support information to define strategy & confirm pricing.

* Responsible for segment/product line pricing and profitability.

* Manage sales concessions, seed units and rebate programs for assigned segment/product lines.

Education and Training

* Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or engineering.

* MBA preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

* 5 years Industrial marketing or related background in some/all of the following:

o Sales/marketing data analysis

o Marketing research and surveys

o Advertising/Customer communications

o Sales promotion literature development/catalogue or product positioning.
