Job Description

The Data Analytics Consultant uses advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis to derive results, identify impacts, and formulate ideas, alternatives, and recommended actions. This role advises stakeholders on findings to make more informed business decisions and uses a consultative and collaborative approach when working with internal business partners to analyze and address business needs, concerns and questions. The role also uses analytics and business experience to mentor and develop less experienced analysts. This role also provides data analysis and insights, explains business requirements, assesses whether the organization has the data needed to meet those requirements and the quality of the data, and determines how individuals or systems should use the data.


Provides consultative services to senior leadership and the entire organization.
Applies understanding of analytics and business landscape to collaborate with peers and other departments to help inform data-driven decisions that are in the best interest of the company.
Collaborates with business partners through a series of questions and discovery to gather information for the purposes of helping to create data and uses data to analyze key business questions.
Identifies opportunities for improvement of processes and supports process improvement efforts.
Performs data analysis, profiling and data collection using knowledge of data definitions, domain values, data relationships, business rules, data sources and enterprise integrated data environment.
Collects and documents functional and non-functional information requirements.
Creates, updates and validates sources to target mapping documents.
Analyzes the impact of proposed new application development or enhancement of existing applications on legacy and other relational data stores and the enterprise's integrated information environment.
Creates conceptual, logical and physical data models to support required changes.
Uploads and manages reference data in collaboration with business clients.
Analyzes and identifies data quality issues or cleanup opportunities to improve data quality anomalies and facilitate solutions between technical, business and other stakeholders.
Manages the Data management partners to ensure compliance with policies, standards and processes and selects, acquires and manages external resources (tools, data and consultants) as needed.
Ensures deliveries conform to company's data standards and acts as a mentor to less experienced Data Analysts.


7+ years of experience in the field of Data Analytics, Information Technology or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration, and/or commensurate experience.
