Job Description

The Claims Business Performance Analyst, working under direct supervision, uses their business acumen, analytical expertise and data expertise to address shortfalls across the wider organization. This role actively collaborates with functional teams in designing and delivering the optimal analytical solution for business needs. The role continuously monitors the performance of implemented solutions using KPIs, providing valuable insights and helping the business make data-driven, fact-based decisions. The role also develops and evaluates the expected business impact of current and planned activities, measures and strategies and recommends actions and strategies based on analysis.


Assists leadership to achieve profitable growth goals across the Lines of Businesses (LOB).
Develops and evaluates the expected business impact of proposed initiatives and monitors initiatives and reports based on these expectations. Assists with strategy support through decision analytics and research including, but not limited to, executive summaries, hypothesis testing, data exploration, experimental design, operations research, and third-party insights.
Prepares, cleanses, and manipulates high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources in order to highlight patterns, anomalies, relationships, and trends.
Performs descriptive and diagnostics analysis to provide actionable insights for a range of business customers via effective data visualizations.
Analyzes and evaluates performance against expectations to develop recommendations of growth and loss mitigation opportunities to country and country market or competitor performance, risk appetite, agency management and product innovation and ease of use.
Extracts and processes data from various sources to analyze trends, identify and understand key drivers and track results as expected.
Participates in performance review meetings to present analysis findings, discuss performance trends, and provide insights to drive data-driven decision-making.
Collaborates with business segments, actuaries, agencies and marketing on all aspects of performance management to ensure strong partnership and shared knowledge for recommendations and actions.
Understands and analyzes a Line of Business or a regional business segment to jointly drive the actuarial rate review process.
Conducts competitive analysis and market research, including gathering and obtaining relevant information from competitor pricing reports and/or industry publications and identifying opportunities to improve Company's product offering and segmentation.
Monitors and evaluates business processes and performance metrics, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance overall business performance.


0-3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Performance Analysis or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, Data Analytics or a related field, and/or commensurate experience.
Strong proficiency in SQL, capable of handling complex data queries and extraction.
Advanced skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, with the ability to create clear, impactful visual reports and dashboards.
Ability to perform basic statistical analyses to identify trends and patterns in the data
