What You Can Expect

As our Content and Communications Development - Design Intern, at The Ohio State University, in Columbus, OH, you will be responsible for assisting ENGIE's Financial Analyst prepare, compile and administer service contracts and purchase agreements in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Every day you will obtain experience with a large international company in a trailblazing project to reduce The Ohio State University energy consumption through renewable energy and decentralized energy platforms. You will report to the Program Manager. This internship work term will be approximately from May 2024-August 30, 2024.

What You'll Bring

You are a currently incoming Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree at The Ohio State University

You will develop interfaces between ongoing projects and programs for energy conservation measures, energy delivery systems, and sustainability initiatives to interact with the Ohio State University community (students, faculty, contributors)

You will collaborate with program managers, business developers, and operations team to create and execute print and digital materials, including fact sheets, infographics, flyers, presentations, construction signage, and reports

You will craft original logos related to events and initiatives

You will assess end audience (user) expectations and requirements and then respond with targeted material developed to meet the user expectation; iterating as needed

You will optimize existing material and developing templates for distribution, publication, or archiving in consistent design format(s)

You will develop and maintain social media and digital media presence for use by engaged stakeholders external to the company for a variety of audiences

You will translate Ohio State Energy Partner's message to meet marketing and communications needs as they arise

You will produce marketing content that has the capability to be distributed within all levels of a 150,000-employee company

You will complete other duties assigned

Additional Details

10 - 20 hours/week minimum

Interns must be enrolled students in good standing at the commencement of the semester

This role requires attendance at a worksiteon a weekly basis

Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license as you might drive company vehicle

Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;

This position consists of 20% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions

Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy

Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

Proficient with graphic design software

Organizational, prioritization and time management skills

Ability to meet highest attendance requirements

Compensation

Hourly Range: $22.00 to 23.50 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
