CLA is growing and seeking to hire an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to join our talented Information Technology team. This role is responsible for leading implementation and management of DevOps practices within CLA. Work closely with development teams, operations teams, and other stakeholders to streamline software delivery processes, automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment, and improve overall system reliability and performance. This role is proficient in various DevOps tools and technologies, such as version control systems, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, configuration management tools, and cloud platforms. They also manage the analyzation and optimization of system performance, lead the monitoring and troubleshooting of issues, and ensure compliance with security and compliance standards. The position offers growth, flexibility and a collaborative work environment.

How you'll create opportunities in this Lead DevOps Engineer role:

*Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of incremental software updates, ensuring stability and reliability.

*Lead the development and management of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the software delivery process.

*Direct the creation and management of automated release tools for continuous build and release processes.

*Manage the review application requirements process and anticipate system needs to ensure availability and scalability.

*Lead the optimization of relationships between development, QA, and IT operations teams to enhance productivity.

*Oversee implementation of processes, tools, and methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development lifecycle.

*Manage increase customer responsiveness by monitoring application performance and anticipating operational issues.

*Direct the creation of stable operating environments by continuously improving deployable and scalable infrastructure.

*Lead the development of automation scripts and procedures as needed.

What you will need:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or 5 years of relevant IT experience in lieu of a degree
7+ years of experience in the IT Field along with extensive experience as a DevOps engineer or manager, with a proven track record in leading teams and hands-on technical work.

Technical Competencies

Proficiency with git version control and it command line interface
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Powershell) and YAML markup
Proficiency in a programming language (e.g. Python, Javascript/Typescript, C#, etc.)
Able to work in a linux-based environment
Hands-on experience with a cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Proficiency in CI tools such as Azure Pipelines, Github Actions, or Jenkins
Hands on experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
Familiarity with Azure Boards or similar work management system such as Jira or Gitlab Issues
