Job Description Summary
Supports the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting. Maintaining records of organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.Creating reports on financial performance for internal and external use.Completing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to foreign exchange, cash management, and tax, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities. Supporting and assisting junior accounting staff in the development of their professional skills.

Job Description

Financial activities for plant reporting - daily, weekly, and monthly operating results including performance analysis.
Support preparation of monthly financial forecast, annual plant operating budget and five- year plan.
Monthly and quarterly financial closing activities including journal entry preparation, variance analysis, account reconciliation, and various report submissions.
Administer quarterly Sarbanes Oxley assessments for the finance department and assists with audits.
Oversight, tracking and analysis of indirect spending.
Responsible for project accounting and fixed asset management.
Lease tracking and accounting according to FASB guidelines.
Providing weekly reports for hours and adjustments to the corporate payroll team
Support any sales, COGS, inventory, and AR/AP activities as needed.
Support operations in driving Productivity Improvement Plans (participating in workshops, signing off on finance savings, integrating plans into forecasts, etc.)
Significant interaction with plant and corporate personnel of all levels.
All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
2+ years of related experience, with manufacturing experience preferred.
2+ years of Intermediate to advanced usage of Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis on Excel.

Preferred Skills and Education:

*SOX and Plex experience preferred, but not required.
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
General understanding of ABC and standard costing preferred.
Sales/Use and CAT Tax experience a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
