Job Summary
Quality is at the forefront of everything we do at Ariel, and to support that, we’re looking for a Quality Assurance Shift Lead to join our team. In this role, your chief responsibilities would include providing technical support and assistance to our operations departments on shift, and leading a team Quality Assurance Technicians who perform part inspections, gauge calibrations, and final quality checks of our finished product. Additionally, the role would be responsible for the continuous development of the skills of the employees on your team, and maintaining performance management standards and accountability. While providing shift leadership for the group, you would be involved in projects working with cross-functional teams to enhance the company’s quality part manufacturing. For this role, candidates should have previous leadership experience, a background in quality assurance within the manufacturing industry, and the ability to provide excellent customer service. Qualifications
- Minimum 2-year degree in an engineering or technical field required; 4-year degree in an engineering or technical field preferred
- 1 – 2 years of quality control and/or inspection experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Experience with precision measuring equipment such as OD/ID micrometers, calipers, height, snap, bore gauges required
- Understanding of gauge calibration requirements and geometric tolerances required
- Customer service and data analysis experience in a quality-focused role required
- ISO and ERP (SAP) background preferred
- 1 – 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
