Youngstown State University (YSU) is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor for the Psychology Program – Psychological Sciences and Counseling (Tenure Track).
Summary of Position
Teaches graduate level courses in School Psychology, advises students, and engages in professional service contributing to the successful operation of the School Psychology Program to develop licensed School Psychologists who can serve the needs with school districts. This is a tenure-track appointment. Tenure and promotion shall be based upon the quality of performance in teaching, scholarship (which includes commercialization), and service; the length of service in rank; and workload assignments.
Position Information
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, including some evenings, and the possibility of some weekend days.
Yearly Salary: $57,886 - $75,000

Qualifications and Competencies
Must be able to pass a Background Check
Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: None
Minimum Qualifications: An earned doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field; experience as a school psychologist; experience conducting research; and evidence of scholarly publications and presentations in school psychology.
Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of contributions to scholarship and professional service in psychology, neuropsychology, applied behavior analysis, and/or autism. Experience teaching graduate level courses.
