Job Description: Family Solutions Residential Services in Canton, OH, is hiring a Part-Time Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

 

Location: In-Person / Hybrid / Remote Options Available

Schedule: Flexible hours (20 hours/week), with daytime availability during summer months, evenings preferred after summer months, weekends as needed.

Responsibilities: Work with youth and adolescents between the ages of 12-18 to provide therapeutic services and support.

Salary Range: $36,400/year to $62,400/year (based on experience)

             

Job Summary:

The Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) will provide mental health assessment, diagnosis and therapy to children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral, or psychological challenges. This position focuses on early intervention, crisis support and long-term therapeutic services tailored to the developmental needs of youth aged 12 to 18. The counselor will collaborate closely with families, schools and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual, group and family therapy sessions for children and adolescents.
  • Perform intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, play therapy).
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment goals in collaboration with clients and their families.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments (e.g., for suicidality, self-harm).
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Coordinate care with parents/guardians, schools, social workers, psychiatrists and other providers.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision, staff meetings and training.
  • Advocate for youth mental health needs within school or community settings.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Active LPCC license (or equivalent) in the state of Ohio.
  • At least 1-2 years of clinical experience with children, teens, or transitional-age youth.
  • Knowledge of developmental psychology, family systems and trauma-informed care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage youth and build trust.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and culturally competent practice.
  • Ability to manage clinical crises and maintain a calm, supportive presence.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in schools, juvenile justice, or foster care systems.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

 

Details: Part time. First Shift, Second Shift (daytime and evening availability required). 20 hours/week (flexible hours). Sunday through Saturday. $36,400/year to $62,400/year (based on experience).

 

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution. Active Ohio LPCC license (or equivalent). Must have at least 1 year of experience. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

 

Driver’s License Requirement(s): Must have a valid driver’s license.

 

Pre-Employment Testing: Criminal Background Check, Driving Record Check, Drug Testing.
