Job Title: Village Clerk
Location: Village of Danville, Ohio
Position Type: Part-Time (During Training) to Full-Time
Salary: Part-time $15.00 per hour
Position OverviewThe Village of Danville is seeking an outgoing and friendly Village Clerk who enjoys working with the public. This role begins as a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week during training, and transitions to a full-time position of 35 hours per week upon successful completion of the training period.
The Village Clerk plays a vital role in serving the community, managing administrative duties, maintaining records, and supporting village operations.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the main point of contact for the public, providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain and manage official village records, including meeting minutes, ordinances, and resolutions.
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Respond to public inquiries and provide information about village policies, permits, and services.
- Support village leadership with day-to-day administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
Qualifications- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Skills:
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using computers and office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bookkeeping experience is a plus.
- Requirements:
- Ability to pass a background and fingerprint check.
Compensation & Benefits- Medical Benefits: Full medical coverage, with the employee responsible for 10% of the cost.
