System Administrator


THE COMPANY:

We are WillowWood, a well-established industry leader in providing prosthetic products to clinicians and amputees around the world, with manufacturing headquarters in Mt. Sterling, Ohio.


THE POSITION:

The System Administrator is key to helping continue the advance of technology at WillowWood. Technology plays an instrumental role at WillowWood from providing support of internal systems and processes to providing platforms for customer solutions. This is an on-site position with some off-hour support required. Some of what you will do include:

Key Responsibilities:

Networking & Connectivity

  • Manage WAN, LAN, and wireless infrastructure for performance and availability
  • Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs (site-to-site and user-to-site), and network switches
  • Diagnose and resolve complex TCP/IP and connectivity issues

Server & Virtual Infrastructure

  • Deploy and maintain physical and virtual servers, including OS installation, resource allocation, and patching
  • Support virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and troubleshoot hypervisor-level issues
  • Handle hardware replacements, upgrades, and performance tuning

Storage & Data Services

  • Configure and maintain NAS solutions
  • Manage storage allocation for virtual machines and file services
  • Administer file and print sharing systems including permissions and quotas

Directory & Identity Management

  • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and domain controllers
  • Manage user accounts, security groups, and access permissions
  • Support web services (IIS), Terminal Servers, and domain-based applications

Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Implement and manage antivirus/endpoint protection systems
  • Monitor for security threats, compliance issues, and alert responses
  • Maintain Duo MFA across remote users and assist with troubleshooting access issues
  • Support audit-readiness and best practices for security configuration

Application & Service Support

  • Install, configure, and support SQL Server, SolidWorks PDM, and Office 365 (Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Administer remote monitoring, inventory, and asset management software
  • Support backup and replication tools; troubleshoot failed jobs and perform root-cause analysis

Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in systems or infrastructure administration
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, enterprise networking, and Windows Server technologies
  • Proficiency with virtualization (VMware) and storage solutions
  • Experience managing Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and remote access (VPN)
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and monitoring systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues independently
  • Ability to lift and install equipment - up to 50 pounds

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications: Security+, Network+, Microsoft MCP/MCSA/MCSE, VMware VCP
  • Experience with Duo MFA, SQL Server, IIS, and SolidWorks PDM
  • Familiarity with compliance standards such as NIST or ISO 27001
