Job Summary
Sensory Summer Temp - Dayton, NJ
We are currently looking for a sensory summer temp to join our Quality Control Sensory group. This is an excellent, opportunity for those looking to gain experience in the flavors industry. The sensory team provides our Operations group with proper sensory evaluation of both raw and finished products, providing you the chance to work independently and on a team with other Sensory Evaluators.
You Will Spend Your Time...
Managing and preparing multiple sensory panels throughout the day to maintain workflow
Daily use of flavor library system in order to prepare for sensory evaluations
Understanding the role of sensory evaluation and how it plays a vital role in operations
Evaluating products according to specified taste methods and determining acceptability under other sensory evaluators
Maintaining retain and Gold Standard libraries
Performing analytical testing as needed
Other duties as assigned
Keeping up with GMPs and general lab etiquette when in the main lab
Required Skills...
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science or related field
Technical degree and/or experience is a sufficient replacement for educational degree
Knowledge of basic math and science
Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
