Multi County Correctional Center located in Marion, Ohio is seeking responsible individuals for the position of Correction Officer. Multi County Correctional Center is a Full Service jail which operates in Marion, Ohio, but services Marion and Hardin counties.
The Correction Officer is a essential part of the safety and security of the day to day operations at MCCC, they are responsible for supervising incarcerated individuals in MCCC, from supervision in housing units, operating control rooms, transportation to and from court or hospitals, and working in the booking department. Correction Officers are expected to respond to emergencies in the jail, and deal with dangerous situations, or individuals. MCCC promotes within, and is a great place to start a career if you are new to corrections or already have experience.

* Pay Scale, effective January 2025
Probationary: $20.91
Post-Probationary to 1 year of service: $21.68
1 to 2 years of service: $22.73
3 years of service: $23.52

Requirements:
* Must have valid Ohio Driver’s License
* Must pass pre-employment psychological exam, drug screening, thorough background investigation and lie detector test
* Must complete testing for chemical weapons, TASER, firearms, and unarmed self defense
* Works closely with law enforcement agencies
* Complete the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy for Correction Officers
