Job Tittle: Physician Administrator

Location: Tiffin, OH 44883

Shift: Flexible (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, first or second shift)

Duration: At least 1 year from projected start date

Hours/Week: 10-40 hours

Job Description:

Direct and manage the delivery of medical services to residents in line with ICF/IID standards.

Develop and implement medical policies and procedures.

Serve as the primary care physician for assigned individuals, including:

Conducting physical exams.

Diagnosing and treating medical conditions.

Prescribing medications.

Monitoring treatment outcomes.

Maintaining comprehensive medical documentation.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including psychologists, psychiatrists, case managers, direct care staff, nurses, and family/guardians.

Order diagnostic tests, medications, treatments, and make referrals as needed.

Work closely with Certified Nurse Practitioners at each facility.

Participate in various facility committees (e.g., admissions/discharges, unusual incidents, infection control, emergency preparedness, human rights, medication reviews).

Consult with external stakeholders such as DD County Boards, medical professionals, and Ohio DD Central Office departments (e.g., Legal, Major Unusual Incident).

Direct state health systems for children with special healthcare needs or infectious disease surveillance.

Develop statewide health policies, standards of care, and public health strategy.

Supervise and train lower-level healthcare staff or administrators.

Conduct complex clinical care in special cases.

Assist in outbreak investigations and grant resource planning.

Contribute to maternal and child health program development and implementation.

Required Qualification:

Valid Ohio Medical Licensure

Healthcare-Professional Level CPR Certification
