Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Intern to join our dynamic Catalog and Digital Marketing Team. In this role, you will support various initiatives focused on website development, lead generation, and digital promotions. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal departments, including corporate communications, content group, product management, e-business, and MDM.

Requirements:

Experience with email campaigns and digital marketing tools
Excellent time management skills
Detail-oriented with extremely good follow-up
Familiar with HubSpot marketing automation
Experience with GA4
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Website Design Initiatives:

Create strategic content enhancements including refined product descriptions and compelling mission statements for better product understanding
Optimize imagery to strengthen product visualization
Redesign product presentation framework to simplify the discovery process
Streamline the path to purchase for direct impact on conversion rates
Implement user-centered design to reduce friction in customer journey
Conduct meetings to go over new website designs

HubSpot and Lead Generation:

Assist in expanding the email list through Hoovers research to organize email lists by industry segments for targeted marketing
Work with the digital marketing team and our agency to create new lead gen workflows to better marketing messages and find stronger leads to obtain higher sales and views on emails and social posts
Work with e-business to update HubSpot emails to fit Applied branding to lower unsubscribe and spam rates
Research past marketing and automated emails to find trends that will allow us to better our marketing efforts

Digital Promotions:

Assist in sourcing, writing, and creating content for the homepage and corresponding landing pages in coordination with Corporate Communications
Optimize SpyFu to research and identify keywords for Google Ad and Facebook Ad campaigns
Participate in supplier conversations/meetings to take the lead on campaigns
Work in tandem with all teams to align with content strategy
Help build out the calendar for the year with the digital team
Gather/create content from suppliers for both emails and landing pages
Utilize GA4 for:
Website traffic analysis
Campaign Performance Tracking
User Segmentation
Event tracking
Conversation Rate Optimization
Reporting and Insights
A/B testing
Audience building
Ad Word campaign insights and recommendations

Education and/or Experience:

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing or similar
Excellent oral communication skills (including in-person, phone, and email)
