Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Security Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in information security and a strong understanding of network and system security practices. This role will be responsible for safeguarding our IT infrastructure, detecting and responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal policies.

What You'll Do:


Design, implement, and manage security tools, technologies, and protocols across the organization.
Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation.
Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate regular penetration testing.
Maintain and configure firewalls, antivirus systems, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
Work with development and infrastructure teams to ensure secure application and system configurations.
Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
Support audits and compliance initiatives (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA).
Stay up to date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.

What You'll Need:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3-5 years of experience in IT security, cybersecurity, or related role.
Solid understanding of networking protocols, system hardening, and common security frameworks.
Experience with SIEM tools, firewalls, endpoint protection platforms, and cloud security.
Familiarity with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys).
Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud environments from a security perspective.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, GSEC) is a plus
