Responsibilities




Assists in the administration of various statutory and non-statutory benefits programs, including, but not limited to health care plans, disability income plans, life insurance plans, long-term care plans, health and wellness programs, health savings accounts and flexible spending accounts for employees in all locations.
Assists employees in resolving disputed claims situations by facilitating information exchange among necessary parties.
Assists with preparation and distribution of informational literature and conducts verbal presentations to notify and advise employees of benefit programs.
Assists in maintaining benefits data in Human Resources Management System (HRMS) and coordinates changes with other departments.
Maintains carrier/vendor systems with new hires, terminations, and any life status changes.
Assists with administration and inquiries from employees about PTO policies.
Conducts the Human Resources portion of new employee orientation. Reviews benefits information/enrollment process with the new employee, as well as the SSOE Employee Handbook. Obtains/processes all required new hire paperwork.
Responds to benefit inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
Provides general clerical and administrative support for the HR Department and assists HR staff on project work as needed.
Always handles proprietary information in a confidential manner.

Confirmation of benefits in UKG PlanSource
UKG New Hires - Beneficiaries Assigned and Dependent SSN captured
Send new employee welcome email after benefits orientation
Follow employees to ensure they enroll before 30-day deadline
Special Leave spreadsheets upkeep for ACA compliance, COBRA + Payroll
Medical Support orders
Vanguard Uncashed Checks and No Beneficiary Report Follow-up
Review weekly and monthly UKG benefits validation, audit, and error reports
Confirm benefits terminated with insurance carriers


Qualifications




High School Diploma required, Associate degree preferred, along with one to two years of related administrative support experience.
Must have good organizational skills, be able to prioritize work assignments and work proficiently in a deadline-oriented environment.
Demonstrates a willingness to learn and actively support employee benefits processes.
Proficiency in prevailing office software required.
Prior HRMS database experience preferred.
Salary Range: $24.00 - $25.00/hour depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
