Job Description

This position will be responsible for servicing customers with regard to daily needs, quoting new business and annual policy renewal processes. This responsibility includes checking policies and reporting of initial claims to insurance carriers. Will handle small accounts without an assigned producer, requiring a broad understanding of company underwriting systems and products. The candidate will be responsible for full service, retention and rounding of accounts.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for gathering detailed underwriting information for quoting and remarketing policies.
Will research and select potential markets.
Monitor outstanding quotes and applications.
Responsible for making independent decisions on coverage as needed.
Will educate clients on agency payment expectations & cancellation procedures.
Review endorsements, claims, audits and cancellation/non-renewal reports.
Research and monitor activity associated with clients and carriers.
Will be responsible for the issuing of new and renewal Certificates of Insurance.
Submit initial claims and follow-up per our workflows.
Check policies and review endorsements & audits for accuracy.
Will perform special projects as assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills

Associate's degree, or equivalent experience required
Must be a licensed P&C Agent required
Minimum of two years of insurance experience required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be able to multi-task and manage time effectively
Proficient knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Products

Basic Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
Must be a licensed P&C Agent
Minimum of two years of insurance experience required
