Job Description

Position Purpose:

Assist in the timely processing of all outbound material issues, incoming material receipts, and supply of necessary production parts to assigned areas of the plant.

Essential Functions:


* Loads and unloads trucks with either incoming or outgoing materials. Inventories/counts and moves raw and finished materials from the production floor or storage areas to their intended destination.
* Operates the company truck to move materials to or from plant.
* Unloads steel trucks as they arrive and moves steel to storage areas.
* Operates sit-down lift and high-reach lift trucks as necessary to store or deliver materials.
* Accurately reports daily activities as required.
* Material flow, presentation, and replenishment experience preferred.
* Inventories, prepares and packages aftermarket materials for shipment.
* Coordinates UPS shipments and receipts.
* Keeps work areas clean and free of hazards.
* Performs other duties as assigned by the Area Leader or Supervisor.

Education and Training


* High School Diploma/GED required.
* Prior forklift truck and reach truck experience, preferred

Minimum Qualifications


* Ability to interpret production schedules and build specifications.
* Must be able to utilize torque wrenches according to specs.
* Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment
* Knowledge of inventory control processes such as cycle counting and scrap reporting, preferred.
* Must be able to use handheld scanner and/or PC
* Must follow all safety practices and policies.

Physical Demands


* Constant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities, and simple grasp
* Frequent forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing
* Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs

Environmental Conditions


* Non-temperature controlled manufacturing facility
* Must wear eye, ear, and foot protection
