Full Job Description

• Feed linen into ironers.
• Hand folds and stacks linen in appropriate bundles.
• Determines quality of linen and rejects unacceptable pieces.
• Binds, marks, wraps, and packs bundles according to standards.
• Keeps accurate records of work produced.
• Sorts soiled linen according to item, size, style, and color.
• Dump bags onto conveyor belts or work surfaces.
• Push and pull carts of soiled linen.
• Wear protective wearing apparel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Essential:

• Ability to push 600 pound carts; ability to lift 50-75 pounds; ability to work at a steady rapid pace; ability to bend; ability to work in heat; ability to stand eight to ten hours.

Non-essential:

• Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds.
