Job Description

The National Accounts Manager is a leader in our Non-Commercial Foodservice Segment. The National Accounts Manager is responsible for managing the relationships of assigned national Non-Commercial Foodservice accounts such as Aramark and working across our matrix field sales organization to grow their assigned accounts by adding new individual locations. The National Accounts Manager develops & deploys strategies for the portfolio including growth, pricing and contractual approaches, with the support of other cross-functional teams as needed, to achieve growth and retention goals for the assigned portfolio. This is an individual contributor position; the National Accounts Manager is not responsible for managing a sales team.

100% Remote with travel but must be located in the United States.

Primary Job Accountabilities

Develop a national strategic account plan (SAP) in support of executing the objectives
Use our CRM as the roadmap to sell new customers, achieve growth & retention objectives, provide business updates, and identify customer needs where Smart Care can provide additional value
Develop strong advocates and relationships across decision-makers and influencers for assigned accounts within portfolio
Develop and deliver effective sales and business review presentations to key decision makers including senior executives and large groups
Work independently and in collaboration within the Sales and Marketing teams, especially the field sales team, to execute selling strategies to grow and retain our business within the assigned portfolio
Consistently achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual goals for growth and retention to support company's overall growth goals
Proficient daily use of CRM to track contacts, activities and sales pipeline
Conduct research, create sales presentations, develop business cases and execute contracts (new prospects and renewals)
Ensure smooth roll-out for new customer acquisitions

Education, Requirements & Competencies

Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 5+ years of outside sales experience
Recent outside sales experience growing and managing a national and/or regional accounts that required thoughtful strategic planning in order to meet and exceed goals. Experience in selling to grocery and convenience stores is a plus
Successful track record of consistently meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual growth and retention goals
Excellent organizational planning, communication, and time management skills
Strong business and financial acumen
Strong relationship development and problem-solving skills with a solution based, team-oriented mindset
Proven ability to adapt to change, be open to performance feedback, and work successfully independently and in a team environment
Ability to travel nationally, with regular overnight travel up to 75% required.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other Smart Care reporting systems
