Job Description

Position Purpose:

Assist in the timely production of all welded parts and ensure welds being completed are within acceptable quality standards.

Essential Functions:


* Perform MIG, hand and robotic welding operations to produce product at the required production and quality level as instructed.
* Perform inspection on product utilizing total quality concepts.
* Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
* Accurately report daily activities on work orders and Kan Ban cards and other media as required.
* Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment.
* Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
* Exercise safe working habits while operating machines, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor/Area Leader.

Education and Training


* High School Diploma/GED required.
* Prior welding experience, required

Minimum Qualifications


* Ability to pass 2G MIG welding certification test.
* Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment
* Must follow all safety practices and policies.
* Able to read and understand blueprints and geometric tolerances

Physical Demands


* Constant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities, and simple grasp
* Frequent forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing
* Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
