Job description
Small’s Sand & Gravel, Inc. is accepting applications for Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
Mechanic will be responsible for servicing and repairing our truck fleet, all our paving & heavy equipment and operating plants. Must be able to document and maintain service records.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Prior mechanic experience with dump truck, heavy equipment and semi trucks, preferred
- Basic welding skills and experience
- Knowledge/experience with cutting torch
- Experience operating a skid loader/skid steer
- Ability to do manual labor, work 8+ hours a day as needed
- Must pass a drug and alcohol pre-screening
- Valid Driver's License
Qualified candidates must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
Candidates must have the ability to work overtime as needed during our busy season, typically March through October.
