Job Description

Danfoss in Van Wert is now hiring an experienced Quality Supervisor to join our team in Danfoss Power Solutions! This role will lead Quality Engineering activities focused on achieving plant operational and customer quality goals, leveraging continuous improvement and quality tools.

Job Responsibilities


Drive and support continuous improvement projects impacting KPI metrics (Customer DPPM, Product Audit) identifying top issues and main drivers thru the use of data analytics utilizing Danfoss Quality System policies.
Lead reduction efforts on Cost of Poor Quality metrics (Scrap, Rework, Repair, and Warranty). A key consideration is to prevent the inadvertent use of any suspect or Nonconforming material or product (NCMP) and to implement effective actions to prevent the recurrence of such events.
Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Production Operations in the development of Process FMEAs, Process Control Plans, Measurement System Analyses, and Process Capability Methods & Requirements.
Lead structured team problem solving efforts (Six-Sigma, 8D, and Corrective/Preventive Action Reports) to resolve internal/external issues, while meeting effectiveness, and responsiveness metrics, as well to achieve our Quality KPIs.
Support deployment of risk mitigation activities across our value stream, to proactively identify and address potential quality risks.
Improve supplier/customer relationship through effective partnering and communication.
Provide direction, and leadership to Quality Department personnel.
Lead monthly quality performance and project status review of quality projects.

Background & Skills

Required Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree at an accredited institution
Minimum five (5) years of combined experience in a Quality role in operations
Inspection and testing equipment knowledge and experience.
Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications (GD&T), process control plans, PFMEA's, routers, job instructions, standardize work, and basic statistical methods
Proficient in AIAG Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC and FMEA

Preferred Qualifications:


ASQ Certification (CQE, CMQ/OE)
Six-Sigma Greenbelt certification desired.
Certified internal auditor (IATF16949 desired)
8D Problem Solving methods experience
Proven record of continuous improvement to an ISO certified Quality Management System (QMS).
Fabrication, machining, and assembly knowledge and experience is preferred
Experience in the use of SAP (ERP system)
