Summary of Responsibilities

The Modification Operator is a member of the Vehicle Modification team, within the Quality Department (Customer Support Department) The Vehicle Modification Team performs activities to complete items identified on internal gig lists, customer gig lists, or customer change requests prior to delivery to the customer.

Make necessary corrections and/or changes identified during customer inspections

Completed internal and customer gig lists

Perform work on electrical functions of the vehicle

Work on ACP/PDQ builds, electrical harness, chassis, troubleshooting, Vmux downloads, ect.

Electrical systems properly functioning

Perform work on vehicle assemblies and installed parts

Installation of manufactured or purchased components for the interior/exterior assembly, ect.

Proper assembly/ install

Review and interpret work orders and associated prints/schematics

Review pertinent truck documents for verification of proper assembly and functionality of the truck

Verification of work orders

Disassemble/reassemble hardware and components

Operate electrical equipment, small machinery and use hand tools

Work properly completed

Cross-train in all manufacturing operations for efficiency and autonomy with a variety of repairs and/or modifications

Continued skill development through exposure to assembly operations and training sessions

Regularly sharpening of skills/ attaining new skills

Quality inspections of materials and work performed

Technical Skills/Competencies (technical knowledge, education and experience)

High school diploma or equivalent

Three years prior work experience with equivalent operations

Ability to read, interpret, comprehend blueprints and wiring schematics

Regular communication with office personnel, production associates, dealers and customers

Self-directed and able to work autonomously

 

 

 

Essential Functions/Physical Requirements

Successfully pass a post offer drug test, as well as random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug and alcohol test thereafter

Maintain availability for fluctuating work schedules to meet customer requirements as determined by team leader, manager, or VP

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with assistance, regularly required to walk, talk and hear, reach with hands and arms, stand, crouch and kneel; frequently required to use hand to finger dexterity in order to handle objects, tools, and/or controls; occasionally required to stoop or crawl
