Senior Payment Operations Specialist

About the Job

Location:
895 Central Avenue - Cincinnati, Ohio 45202

Hours: Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

The Senior Lockbox Processor plays a critical role in overseeing and executing complex lockbox operations, ensuring high accuracy and compliance with regulatory and client requirements. This position serves as a subject matter expert, provides guidance to our specialists, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize lockbox workflows and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate the timely and efficient movement of mail, checks, and documents to extraction and data entry associates
Day to day point person, reporting lockbox status updates and issues to Manager
Partner with Transmissions team to ensure all SLAs are met
Troubleshoot complex clerical questions
Process complex or sensitive client accounts.
Prepares information for clients and service partners according to specified procedures and instructions
Assist with packaging and mailing of client reports
Complete all duties within Workflow log daily
Acts as support for other production areas when necessary
Train, mentor, and support junior processors; provide feedback and assist with performance improvement.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and regulatory requirements
Participate in system upgrades, testing, and process improvement initiatives.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in lockbox processing or payment operations, with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with lockbox software, high-speed scanners, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Must be coachable and teachable, willing to take direction from Ops Manager.
Excellent customer service skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with client onboarding or custom lockbox configurations
Knowledge of banking regulations and risk management practices.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $24.00 to $27.00 per hour depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience.
