Overview
This position is for a Japanese-English Interpreter at a manufacturing company in Moraine, OH. You will support communication between Japanese and local English-speaking staff through on-site interpretation and translation, playing a key role in daily operations and cross-cultural teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Offer consecutive interpretation services to a main Japanese-speaking employee when communicating with local English-speaking team members.
- Interpret in various workplace settings, including on-the-job training related to production tasks, work procedure explanations, internal meetings, and cross-departmental discussions.
- Translate written materials from Japanese to English and vice versa, including training documents, internal communications, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with the creation, editing, and formatting of bilingual documents as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or higher education preferred.
- At least 2 years of professional interpreting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or similar setting.
- Fluent in both Japanese and English, including strong reading and writing skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret clearly and accurately in a fast-paced work environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
