About the Job

The Sr. Analyst, HR Data Governance & Continuous Improvement supports Sherwin Business Services (SBS) Employee Services HR Shared Services business processes, continuous improvement projects, governing HR systems, data/audit compliance and reporting and metrics

The analyst supports a variety of HR projects and collaborates with the HR IT team to review reporting, identify improvement and automation opportunities, and develop HR metrics and insights. They also audit data, implement data governance, resolve system issues, and support testing and implementation efforts.

A strong analytical mindset and natural curiosity are essential, along with the ability to work independently with data from diverse and complex sources. Staying informed about emerging tools and processes is important, as we continuously strive to enhance automation and efficiency. Excellent organizational and follow-up skills are critical for managing multiple projects, tracking tasks, and ensuring timely progress toward deadlines.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Create and maintain project documentation such as project plans, timelines and standard operating procedures

Provide timely and up to date project insights to HR Teams and stakeholders

Assist in scheduling meetings and touch points to ensure stakeholders are up to date and completing tasks to meet deadlines and project goals

Assist in ongoing and future projects including technology implementations and system enhancements/upgrades

Assist HR Shared Services with projects including technology implementations, system enhancements/upgrades and partner with Communication/Operations team to help ensure standard communication, training, support and compliance is established for projects and initiatives to stakeholders.

GLOBAL DATA ANALYTICS, METRICS & DASHBOARDS

Development and expansion of Global HR Shared Services metrics and insights utilizing reporting and analytical tools

Partner with regional and division HR teams on an ongoing basis to share valuable metrics and identify & implement process improvement opportunities

Partner with SBS Operations team as the HR liaison for supporting monthly global HRSS Dashboard including SLA's, report/metric requests and identifying measurable performance goals and reporting on progress and trends, including ServiceNow Case Management, HR Cloud, and Call Center

Partner with the regional HR Shared Services teams in streamlining and aligning regional specific metrics and dashboards

Understand metrics and translate into actionable items to be shared with HRSS Leadership

Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs and assist in translating those needs into project requests or metric requirements

Assist with ad-hoc reporting requests as necessary

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Partner with internal HRSS teams and business partners to identify opportunities for synergy, improvement, simplification and automation of existing processes and reporting

Assist in designing and building of technical processes to address business issue or inefficiencies

Identify and implement effective tools to drive efficient and effective reporting

Partner with SBS Operations team to leverage tools which provide insights for SBS departments to drive operational excellence and improvement opportunities

Partner with SBS Operations and IT product teams to research automation and workflow tools such as ServiceNow solutions, Robotic Process Automation, etc. and determine where they can be leveraged in HR Shared Services

Identify and recommend opportunities to strengthen policies, processes and procedures and ensure maintenance of process mapping and standard operating procedures

Ability to comprehend data architecture and relationships across systems

DATA GOVERNANCE

Lead on HR system governance meetings with key HR Shared Services team members and applicable stakeholders and ensure timely submission & follow-up on governance requests.

Ensure the highest level of accuracy for data entry (HR Cloud, Dayforce and OnBase) is in place by utilizing the HR Shared Services data audit framework and performing regular data audits and root cause analysis, using information to identify issues and implement actions to deliver sustainable improvement.

Partner with internal HR IT team and stakeholders (e.g. Compensation and HRBP's) to understand the current data governance and promote standard processes

Identify and recommend opportunities to strengthen policies, processes and procedures with business partners and other internal customers

Identify and implement process to govern HR data

Review and monitor data and report for exceptions

Update SOPs as processes and business needs change

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION

Required:

Bachelor's degree in business Analytics, Information Systems, Business or related fieldsPreferred:

Master's degree in business Analytics, Information Systems, Business or related fields

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

3+ years of experience in workforce management, HR analytics, business insights, or other project related roles
2+ years of process improvement experience

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent presentation ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to key leaders and stakeholders

Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to data accuracy and quality

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively across teams

Ability to create and manage projects, ensuring timely completion and milestone attainment

Aptitude for understanding technical advancements and implementing new processes and enhancements

Preferred:

1+ year of experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Power Automate or other process automation tools
Experience with managing and auditing data

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

Microsoft Office tools products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Project)
Advanced Excel skills( e.g., Macros)

Data Visualization tools (e.g., SQL Developer, Tableau, Power BI)

Preferred:

Hands on experience with process mining tools
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. R, Python)
Project management tools (e.g. Jira)
