Job Title: Assembler I

Department:  WFL

 

POSITION SUMMARY

This role must be able to successfully perform and be proficient in hinging or end capping line within the WFL Department

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred High School Diploma or GED

  • Assemble product with power equipment and various hand tools in a safe manner
  • Build sections of track per the work orders created by Scheduling/print
  • Ability to operate spot welders/ rivet machines in a safe manner
  • Quality inspects components before tagging and placing on a load cart
  • Operate a banding machine in a safe manner
  • Set up changes and dies safely and correctly without assistance
  • Set up various cut off saws by using stop clocks, clamps along with changing blades to ensure correct component is made per print specs.

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Moving mechanical parts

  • Warm during summer months

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
  • Ability to stand, sit, squat, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stretch, walk, reach, twist, bend, grasp, use hands and fingers, handle objects or controls, talk, hear 
  • Physically capable of accessing/moving through all areas of the plant; Agility to negotiate around moving machinery and people
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 45 pounds frequently
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
