Job Description
Banquet functions are held in the upper Event Center, private dining spaces in the lower Tavern, under the pavilion, or on the outdoor deck. Valley of the Eagles Event Center hosts many wedding ceremonies, social cocktails, celebration of life, first couple dance, and high school dances. The event server position· is responsible for, among other things, set up and breakdown of chairs, tables, candles, space heaters, table decor, plates, utensils, glasses. The event server also assists with the set up and break down of serving dishes, chafing dishes, and food stations. No specific tools are required other than dollies for moving tables and chairs. Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area. Relay food and beverage orders. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices. Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations. Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment. Relay important information about orders, allergies and special requests to the appropriate person. Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns. Present in professional appearance and mannerisms.
