YOUR ROLE

As a Validation Engineer on our team, you'll

In your daily job you will:

Define validation plans in collaboration with customer and Engineering as a member of the Project Team.
Specify the list of DUTs for testing
Optimize validation plans by selection of relevant requirements and test methods.
Communicate validation status and discuss test results within the Project Team and OEM.
Provide customer feedback related to test results/test report to the laboratory.
Identify new customer/specification requirements or product characteristics in order to anticipate readiness of suitable equipment, methods and competencies in the labs.
Participate in DFMEA and compliance matrix review.
Support Engineering team in researching failure mechanisms, physics of ageing and impact of various factors on tested components in order to collect data supporting validation plans optimization and product design robustness improvement.
Validation records retention and compliance to customer specifications
Execute assigned tasks in a timely manner and in compliance with the quality system valid for Aptiv corporation.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

Engineering university degree - preferred fields: electrical, mechanical, material engineering, physics
Familiarity with automotive electrical component testing standards
Understanding physical foundations of environmental exposure testing and accelerated aging test methods
Experience in electrical and mechanical tests on components of electrical distribution systems
Working knowledge of properties of thermoplastic materials as well as non-ferrous metal alloys
English proficiency
Readiness to undertake business trips
