Duties:

Dress the grinding wheel according to specifications. Job function includes monitoring machine operations to determine whether adjustments are necessary and stopping machines when problems occur.

Inspect, feel, and measure work pieces to ensure that the surfaces and dimensions meet specifications.

Set up and operate machines to grind various material and place the material in boxes or on pallets. 

File or finish surfaces of work pieces, using prescribed hand tools. Select and mount grinding wheels on machines, according to specifications.

Use hand tools and apply knowledge of abrasives and grinding procedures to daily work duties.

Remove and replace worn or broken machine parts.

Compute numbers, widths, and angles of cutting tools, scales, and gauges. 

Adjusts tools to produce specified cuts.

·         Being able to read customer orders and follow safety regulations

·         Having interpersonal skills

 Forklift & overhead crane experience is helpful.
Must have driver's license.
