Job Description: USA Precast Concrete in Canal Fulton, OH, is hiring a full-time Safety Officer.

Job Summary:

Are you a dedicated safety professional with a passion for fostering a secure work environment? We're seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join our precast concrete manufacturing plant in Canal Fulton, OH. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for overseeing and enhancing all aspects of safety across our diverse operations, ensuring the well-being of our entire team.

Responsibilities:

As our Safety Officer, you'll be the champion of safety throughout the plant. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing comprehensive safety programs and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Conducting regular safety inspections and audits across all departments, including production, welding and fabrication, logistics and maintenance, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
• Providing engaging and effective safety training to all team members, ensuring a deep understanding of safety protocols, equipment operation and emergency procedures.
• Maintaining accurate safety records and preparing reports on safety performance, incidents and training.
• Collaborating with department managers to integrate safety into daily operations and foster a proactive safety culture.
• Staying up to date on all relevant local, state and federal safety regulations (OSHA, etc.) and ensuring plant compliance.
• Leading safety committee meetings and promoting active employee participation in safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar safety leadership role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience in concrete or heavy industrial settings is a significant plus.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and manage comprehensive safety programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage employees at all levels.
• Proven ability to investigate incidents, analyze data and implement effective corrective actions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to safety, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Safety certifications (e.g., CSP, OHST) are highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00/hour

Details: Full time. First Shift (7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). 40 hours/week. Monday through Friday. $25.00/hour.

Qualifications: Must have 3-5 years of experience. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Driver’s License Requirement(s): Must have valid driver’s license.
