Responsibilities

As a Senior Production & Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in guiding and executing production efforts from first article through full-rate manufacturing of advanced military aircraft systems. This position bridges production engineering and manufacturing engineering functions, supporting seamless integration across production, design, supply chain, quality, and sustainment operations. You'll apply industry best practices, cutting-edge digital manufacturing technologies, and continuous improvement methodologies to ensure timely and efficient production delivery.

Lead and coordinate production activities to ensure parts and content are delivered to the production floor on schedule for current and future builds.

Support first article manufacturing, tooling, process validation, and transition to rate production.

Serve as a subject matter expert to advise on integration of modern manufacturing practices, including:

Digital thread implementation

Determinant assembly

Advanced fabrication technologies

Develop, refine, and maintain manufacturing processes and work instructions to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality.

Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new and existing components.

Represent the program office in production, integration, and modernization efforts.

Identify and implement lean manufacturing, process optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.

Monitor and report production status, schedules, risks, and key performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders.

Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes for production-related issues.

Create, evaluate, and present technical documentation, production readiness reviews, and decision briefings.

Advise and support the Government Program Office on all aspects of production and manufacturing performance.

Coordinate with quality, logistics, supply chain, and planning teams to ensure production readiness and material availability.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

5+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role, preferably in aerospace or defense.
Knowledge of state-of-the-art manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain, and product lifecycle management practices - Desired
Experience with first article builds and transition to full rate production - Highly Desired

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.

Clearance Requirements:

* Must possess an active TS/SCI Clearance.
