Carlson Design Group is actively seeking an experienced and registered Electrical Engineer to join our team and lead projects for our expanding business.

Carlson's market focus is Mission Critical, Light Industrial, Financial Services and Commercial.



Location

You can work from any of our enterprise office locations in Peachtree Corners, GA, Detroit, MI, Charlotte, NC or Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities




Your Key Responsibilities



Plan and Develop: Develop medium to large-scope unique projects with many complexities that significantly impact major company programs.
Execute: Coordinate projects and oversee a large staff of engineers, designers, and associates.
Major Project Responsibility: Licensed professional and Engineer of Record.
Technical Expertise: Provide technical design support to the engineering team, prepare schematic designs, Construction Documents and specifications in compliance with project program and building design as the direction of the lead engineer.


Qualifications




To Qualify for this role, you must

Have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Professional Engineering (PE) Registration, or ability to obtain licensure in multiple states.
Minimum 8 years of related experience including low and medium voltage design experience.
Experience leading and executing projects independently from handoff.
Competency in AutoCAD and Revit.



Ideally, you'll also have

Mission critical or industrial engineering experience.
Experience preparing Arc Flash and Breaker Coordination Analysis.
Ability to solve problems and innovate.
