Fabricator/Assembler duties and responsibilities:
- Produces finished products by assembling parts and components
- Reads and deciphers assembly instructions
- Positions or aligns components and parts
- Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials related
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
- Checks assembly components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts, and subassemblies
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
- Helps keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Helps maintain inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
Fabricator/Assembler skills and qualifications:
- Mechanical, technical, and basic math skills
- Physical stamina and strength for manipulating 150lbs
- Safety management mindset
- Focus on quality control
- Dexterity and handeye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Must agree to background screening
Be able to work 7:00 am - 3:30 pm or 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Able to lift/manipulate up to 150lbs
Commute to Steubenville, Ohio
Desired characteristics:
At least 6 months experience in assembly/manual fabrication

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
Morning shift: 7 am - 3:30 pm or 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
