Job Description

Danfoss is seeking a Shipping Coordinator for the 2nd Shift to join its team. The Shipping Coordinator will access and implement all traffic functions within the distribution facility to provide carriers with proper paperwork, customer invoices, and to disburse inventory properly.

The Shipping Coordinator 2nd Shiftwill work daily out of the Van Wert, OH facility from 2:00pm-11:30 pm and be open to working overtime when needed. This role will report to the Logistics Supervisor. Work authorization support will not be provided. Support for relocation cannot be provided.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.


Prepare proper documentation to produce shipping paperwork. Create waybills for export shipments to allow quick and accurate processing through Customs.
Complete transactions for all bills of lading which disburses inventory and sets off invoicing to the customer. Work directly with Carrier Operations personnel to schedule shipments and resolve shipment issues.
Become subject matter expert for outbound domestic shipments while acquiring knowledge on export processes.
Ability to use TMS to obtain freight rates, customer logistics websites to determine mode of transportation and to provide proper documentation for shipment.
Maintain files to provide paperwork for inquiries on proof of deliveries or audits. Verify sales order due dates vs. shipment dates on the packing lists.
Work directly with Customer Support to answer customers' transportation questions. Research and support freight claim initiation and investigations.
Provide guidance to proper ASN support groups.Guide material handlers in carrier loading schedules.
Implement special decisions when necessary, including scheduling expedited shipments.

High School diploma or GED is required.
Possess a minimum of 1 years' experience working in warehouse, transportation or logistics is strongly preferred
Experience providing customer service within a distribution, transportation or logistics organization is highly preferred
Experience managing complex data
Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft tools
Experience maintaining information in a database. Experience working in SAP ERP or other ERP systems is preferred.
Ability to resolve customer shipping issues
Possess strong communication skills, written and verbally
Ability to exhibit a strong attention to detail
Able to work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree preferred
Knowledge of inner workings of Distribution/Shipping facility
Knowledge of filling out special forms (export documents)
