TITLE: Engineer Lead (multiple positions available)
HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
DUTIES: Lead requirements gathering meetings and review designs with the business.
Lead efforts with Web and marketing team to increase the presence of web products.
Develop software products to solve business problems.
Implement improvements in stability, performance, and scalability across major business-critical systems.
Implement process to reduce barriers and roadblocks in projects, services, and processes to operate more efficiently.
Own the change request process and coordinate with other teams as necessary.
Develop and own list of final enhancements.
Develop and define application scope and objectives and supervise the preparation of technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written.
Perform technical design reviews and code reviews.
Mentor junior staff on technology and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Seven (7) years of experience in related occupation(s).
Seven (7) years of experience in related occupation(s) must include: Seven (7) years of IT experience. The position also requires experience with all of the following: Five (5) years of experience with object-oriented/object-function scripting languages including Python or Java. Five (5) years of experience with application development and design in technologies including JavaScript, JSON and RESTful services, SOA standards, including SOAP, REST, WSDL, JSON, or XSLT. Three (3) years of experience with PySpark and Mongo. Three (3) years of experience with big data tools including Hadoop and Kafka. Three (3) years of experience with managing data across relational SQL and NoSQL databases including MySQL, Postgres, HDFS, or MongoDB. Three (3) years of experience working in a Linux environment. Three (3) years of experience in designing and developing platform components including caching, messaging, event processing, automation, transformation and tooling frameworks. Three (3) years of experience developing data ingest workflows with stream-processing system including Spark-Streaming, Kafka Streams or Flink. Three (3) years of experience transforming data in various formats including JSON, XML, CSV, and zipped files. Three (3) years of experience with performance tuning of ETL jobs. Three (3) years of experience with AWS. Three (3) years of experience developing flexible ontologies to fit data from multiple sources and implementing the ontology in the form of database mappings/schemas. Three (3) years of experience with security and privacy standards including HIPAA, HITRUST, or ISO27001. Three (3) years of experience designing and implementing healthcare applications. Three (3) years of experience working in database technologies including Oracle or NoSQL. Three (3) years of experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment. Three (3) years of experience working with Agile tools including Jira, Confluence, or qTest. Three (3) years of experience working with DevOps tools including Bamboo, BitBucket, GitHub, Quay, Grafana, Kibana, Cloudwatch, Terraform, or Cloudformation scripts.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Up to 5% domestic and international travel required.
