About the role

The Field Service Technician I is responsible for the clean-up and preparation for transportation of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste. Field Service Technician I is expected to perform various tasks including but not limited to loading and unloading tanks and tankers with bulk liquids, complete inspection of equipment, hoses and connections as well as perform confined space entry.

Position Responsibilities

Safely operate equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA requirements, and all local, state and federal laws.

Use of hydro blast equipment, forklift, skid loader and specialty vacuum equipment and/or other equipment as needed. Perform work activities related to chemical, oil, and water spills.

Removes materials from tanks, pits, or trenches with hand tools for industrial and environmental cleanup.

Communicate with Project Manager and on-site customers

Work in confined spaces above or below ground and on or under equipment.

Daily work in confined space entry, mechanics, industrial hygiene instrumentation, pneumatic tools, electrical tools hand tools and/or other tools as needed

Maintain a neat and clean working environment.

Acts as a professional representative of Reworld while acting in an autonomous manner at a customer site.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Must have one year of basic computer skills

One year experience using heavy, light, and handheld equipment (forklift, track hoe, backhoe, skid steer, etc.).

Maintains a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

High school Diploma or GED preferred

Reworld offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.

Ability to travel 10-25% of the time, including overnight travel.

One year of experience in construction or industrial environment preferred.

Physical Demands of the Role

Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb

Ability to lift/carry 50lbs

Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces

Qualify to wear a full-face respirator

Consistently work in various weather conditions
