Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) is currently hiring Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (APRN) to support individuals in our brand-new Crisis Receiving Center - a first-of-its-kind initiative providing rapid response, short-term stabilization, and coordinated follow-up for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis.

About the Crisis Receiving Center (RC)

The Hamilton County RC is a unique and innovative model designed to provide an alternative to emergency rooms or incarceration for individuals experiencing an intermediate behavioral health crisis. This exciting project is a partnership with local law enforcement, aimed at providing rapid intervention and quality care for individuals facing behavioral health crises. It will operate 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.

Position Description for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Perform psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe medications and manage acute and chronic psychiatric conditions.
Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and care coordination.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with agency protocols.
Collaborate with physicians, care managers, and the broader care team.
Engage with families when appropriate to support treatment plans.
Participate in RC operations and support best practices in crisis care delivery.

Position Requirements for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Ohio licensure as a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatric)
Valid DEA license
Experience in inpatient or crisis behavioral health settings is a plus
Strong EMR documentation skills
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of crisis management, therapeutic boundaries, and trauma-informed care
