About the Job

POSITION SUMMARY

The Demand Planning Specialist works within the Americas Sales Operations Demand Planning team to compile and update demand forecasts as an integral piece of the Vertiv SIOP process. This individual collaborates with Vertiv's sales, offering management, and analytics teams to best understand and integrate feedback from multiple sources into a demand forecast. They act as the demand representative within the SIOP process, working in collaboration with the operations and finance teams to update and maintain Vertiv's monthly orders and sales forecasts.

RESPONSIBILITIES


* Develop and maintain a rolling 24-month demand forecast for the assigned Business Unit
* Conduct pipeline reviews with territory business teams and key account leaders to validate CRM project opportunities for inclusion in the demand plan
* Collaborate with the Sales Analytics teams to understand historical trends and demand model projections
* Gather business and market intelligence from offering management, sales and operations teams that could influence future demand expectations, including new product introductions and product transition planning
* Lead weekly and monthly line of business forecast reviews with offering management, sales, and operations teams
* Participate in the Supply Planning and SIOP reviews
* Own and action forecast quality metrics including the development and execution of continuous improvement activity
* Make process improvements to reduce waste in the demand planning process
QUALIFICATIONS


* Bachelor's degree in business or operations or equivalent experience
* 1-3 years of relevant work experience
* Ability to create and execute processes
* Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
* Excellent project management and collaboration skills
* Strong MS-Excel and Power BI skills
* Ability to work with, analyze, and derive insights from large amounts of data
