Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer - Akron, Ohio - JOB 25-01372

Salary Range: $80K - $95K Permanent Position with Benefits

Akron, Ohio Manufacturer is seeking to hire an experienced Equipment Design Engineer to design, develop and optimize extrusion machinery.

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
• 3+ years' in mechanical equipment, tooling, or machinery design
• Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks / PDM, AutoCAD, weldments, motor sizing, hydraulic calculations, strain analysis, material selection, bills of material (BOMs) and appropriate heat treatment processes
• Proficient with Excel for engineering calculations and data analysis
• Design, review & verify mechanical machinery designs meet customer specifications, ASME/ANSI, FEA and FMEA standards
• Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge

Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
