Job Title: Correctional / Advanced Practice Nurse Psychiatric-Mental Health
Location: Marysville, OH 43040
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Duration: At least 6 months from projected start date (possibility of extension)
Shift Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week), part-time (20 hours/week) considered
Pay Rate Range: $68-$75/Hour
Role & Responsibilities:
Provide direct psychiatric/mental health care, either in person or via videoconferencing at various correctional facilities.
Conduct mental health and psychopharmacological assessments and formulate mental health diagnoses.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications according to formulary guidelines.
Order, interpret, and analyze laboratory tests and reports.
Collaborate with medical services staff to ensure integrated care for patients.
Document all clinical encounters and medication management appointments in compliance with ODRC policies.
Participate in treatment planning and treatment team meetings related to caseload patients.
Provide clinical supervision and consultation to registered nurses and other mental health staff regarding psychotropic medication and clinical issues.
Receive regular clinical supervision from a collaborating physician.
Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
Maintain clinical competency through ongoing education and training.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field.
Active and unrestricted Ohio Advanced Practice Nurse license.
Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Current Healthcare-Professional Level CPR/BLS certification.
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification (if available).
Experience in psychiatric-mental health nursing, preferably in correctional or forensic settings.
