SUMMARY

The Human Resources Specialist acts as the liaison between the employees, management and outside entities to inquiries for Employee Relations and Human Resources activities, as well as providing general support to the Human Resources department and other entities.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Enters data into HRIS system to add new employee information and to maintain current employee master information, including entering terminations.
  • Processes wage verifications for financial institutions.
  • Runs various reports and distributes appropriately.
  • Makes arrangements for Sauder flowers for (funerals) death, births according to department guidelines.
  • Coordinates Sauder Casket reimbursement program.
  • Keeps disciplinary files current and notesmail current in Ceridian.
  • Coordinates County Fair youth livestock projects, including sending out notices, tracking participating families and tracking money spent/paying bills
  • Coordinates special event planning (Sausage Cookout, Christmas Party, HeartFund, Blood Drives, Food Trucks, etc.)
  • Coordinates the, Service Award Program, Christmas Gift Certificates, Sauder Village memberships.
  • Serves as contact for all donations for the company
  • Works with Time and Attendance Administrator-making changes to employee’s information when needed, misc coverage as backup.-
  • Serves as the EERF Committee HR representative
  • Coordinates EAP program for SWC, SMC and Sauder Village
  • Answers messages and phone calls from outside entities, employees, and managers/supervisors, only providing information that is allowed to be divulged according to department guidelines.
  • Provides Sauder Today information:  New hires, Retirees, Baby Information, deaths, etc. and serves as content proofer.
  • Order Baby blocks for Fine Line, billing, etc.
  • Welcome Back Program-Reinstate seniority date in the hiring process only.
  • Monthly billing for EAP, Hitt Trophy, Fine Line, Fresh Cut, Sauder Village Memberships.
  • Bi-weekly check distribution (hard copy)
