E-Commerce Product Marketing Manager

About the Job

New Product Development for IWD Solvent borne Technologies within the Direct SHW business
Management of the stage gate process from ideation to successful launch/audit
Partner with segment lead in the identification and documentation of CTQ's (critical to quality) requirements
Gathering and analysis of competitive information
Development of Technical Scope and Specifications
Proforma development and performance tracking post launch
Sales forecasting
New product validation and field testing
New product commercialization
Determine Market Pricing and guidance
Aid in the development of new product launch package with Marketing Communications team
Develop selling collateral to aide in affective tools

General Product Line Management
Develop and maintain product's technical information (Product Data Sheets, Label Directions, MSDS, etc.)
Ongoing competitive benchmarking
Ongoing certifications
Manage Product Lifecycle including SKU Rationalization
Lead simplification efforts aligning with division goals to reduce complexity
Strategic product planning/road map utilizing Multi-Generational Product Planning (MGPP) methodology

Maintain Market intelligence and understanding
Organize time with the field organization to support & understand market needs
Identify sources for key market intelligence
Attend & work various trade shows and/or industry event

Maintain alignment with R&D, sales, facilities, PTS, and manufacturing
Maintain active involvement to successfully manage customer product transitions

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

Preferred:

Master's Degree

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

:Required:

7+ years' experience working in the coatings industry
7+ experience working with a cross functional team of technical, marketing, and sales professionals.
Proven knowledge of and experience with successfully launching new products via the Stage Gate process.
Proven project management experience and success

Preferred:

Prior experience in product management or strategic marketing role
Technical background with focus in Industrial markets
Understanding of solventborne technologies, including but not limited to stains, lacquers and topcoats
Experience with efforts to ensure color quality

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:
Project and meeting management skills
Must possess the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
Proactive and transparent communication, both verbally and in writing
Proficient computer skills, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

Preferred:

DFSS Green Belt

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

20%
