About the Role:
As the Facilities Technical Lead, you will be responsible and accountable for the performance, development, and leadership of the facilities maintenance team. You will schedule and assign work, supervise daily operations, and ensure that all tasks are completed accurately, safely, and on time. This role is hands-on, strategic, and essential to the smooth functioning of our facility.
Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Development

* Collaborate with the Corporate Facilities Manager on recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

* Provide ongoing technical leadership and mentoring using tools such as:


* Personal Performance Planning

* Company-sponsored and commercial training programs

* Continuous technical education


Resource & Vendor Management

* Assist in developing and qualifying new supplier resources.

* Establish and manage supplier budgets and resource needs.

Daily Operations & Maintenance

* Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.

* Perform and supervise electrical work, including conduit runs, motor controls, and transformer connections.

* Troubleshoot and resolve facilities-related issues, supporting both internal and external customer requirements.

* Maintain a culture of safety, cleanliness, and continuous improvement.

* Conserve resources by using materials and supplies efficiently.

Safety & Emergency Preparedness

* Promote and maintain a safe work environment aligned with Makino's core values.

* Serve as a key member of the emergency response team.

* Address unsafe conditions promptly and effectively.

Project Management & Special Assignments

* Lead facilities-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

* Apply lean manufacturing and 5S principles.

* Support special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

* Directly manage facilities staff and ensure strong individual and team performance.

* Occasionally oversee contracted service providers on specific technical assignments.

Qualifications: Required Experience & Skills

* Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance.

* Strong expertise in troubleshooting, electrical and mechanical repair, HVAC systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

* Experience with building automation systems and controls.

* Proven leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing competing priorities and complex projects.

* Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

* Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Education & Certifications

* Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance OR 10+ years of relevant experience.

* Journeyman Electrician cer
