Job Title: Equipment Mechanic

Location: Mansfield
Hours: M - F 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Position Overview:

Fleet Relief is seeking a dependable and skilled Mechanic to join our growing team. We specialize in fleet maintenance, mobile repairs, and in-shop service for light/medium and heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment. This role requires a strong work ethic, mechanical expertise, and a commitment to high quality service for our valued clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, hydraulics, and drivetrains.
• Perform preventative maintenance services such as oil changes, filters, inspections, and tire rotations.
• Conduct repair service at location as needed.
• Create clear, accurate documentation for service records, parts used and work performed.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot check engine lights and other system alerts.
• Ensure all repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
• Communicate professionally with customers and service coordinators about findings and repair recommendations.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of diesel mechanic experience (fleet maintenance or mobile service preferred).
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical diagnostics and repair practices.
• Must have own basic tools; specialty tools and diagnostic equipment provided.
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• ASE certification or willingness to obtain (preferred but not required).
• Comfortable working in a shop and also in the field for mobile repair jobs.
• Forklift, Heavy Equipment experience is a plus
